Hi all!
If you are reading this then I am going to assume you are ready to make some changes in your life. I hope you find you're in the right place, please feel free to have a look around. I hope as time goes on I will be able to provide a little something that will resonate with all of you.
I'm guessing the first question you have is who am I?
I suppose the answer to that is I don't really know yet, not quite the answer you were looking for, I know. I guess you could say I'm still figuring that out, still I can honestly say each day I get a little closer to the answer. Although I can't honestly tell you exactly who I am as a person at this present moment, I can share with you who I was and how I came to set up MyHolisticJournal. If you would be interested in my story?
At a young age I had an accident and fell over a banister, the fall itself I don't really remember. The way it affected my life I will never forget. I spent most of my childhood and early 20's in pain, as a result my mood was low and life's prospects were pretty bleak to say the least. I was told on multiple occasions that my body was not healing, to give up my career, to take this pain killer because it's stronger than the last. Of course we all have low points in our life, I believe it's how we deal with them and our outlook that makes the person.
For me I found Yoga and it has been a life support, with out it I don't know where or how I would be now. I found through continuous practice and dedication to my wellbeing I finally feel in charge of my own destiny. Although my body may not fully recover from the damage caused, In finding yoga I am able to live a life that I never thought was possible for me. I am truly blessed.
But now I find it's not enough, now I want to share what I have learnt with you.
Through the years I have found myself fascinated by eastern practises, aromatherapy and holistic healing. Where western medicine could not help me, eastern practises did and still do. That's not to say western medicine has no place, quite the opposite. Just that sometimes we rely so heavily on it we forget there are techniques, disciplines even that have been around so much longer that we may be guilty of over looking.
Over time I hope to fill this site with information, I hope to build an abundance of knowledge for you to dive in to. In the utmost faith that some of it will be able to help you in the way it's helped me.
And as always
Much love
Zoe
